Pediatric Occupational Therapy
Play with Purpose. Grow with Confidence.
Every child has a "job"—and that job is to play, learn, and grow. Our pediatric OT sessions are designed to feel like a playdate but work like a clinical intervention. We specialize in helping children navigate sensory processing, fine motor skills, and emotional regulation in a way that feels safe and fun. By meeting each child exactly where they are, we build the foundations for a lifetime of independence and joy. We believe that when a child feels supported, there is no limit to what they can achieve in their daily lives.
How we help:
Sensory Integration: Helping kids who feel overwhelmed by sounds, textures, or movement.
Fine & Gross Motor Skills: Building the strength and coordination needed for play and school.
Daily Living Skills: Developing independence in dressing, eating, and following home routines.
Emotional Regulation: Providing practical tools to help little ones manage and express big feelings.
Family-Centered Support: Partnering with parents to create easy, effective strategies for the home.
Sea Therapy
From Fear to Float: Reclaim Your Relationship with the Water.
Fear of the water (Thalassophobia) can feel like a barrier between you and the world’s most healing element. This specialized program is designed specifically for people who want to overcome their anxiety at their own pace. Using a gentle, therapeutic approach, we move from the sand to the shallows, helping you regulate your nervous system and find your "sea legs" in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. Together, we will transform your relationship with the ocean from one of avoidance to one of calm, strength, and empowerment.
What to expect:
Gradual Exposure: We never rush. We start exactly where you feel safe—even if that’s just sitting on the shore.
Somatic Regulation: Learning how to breathe and stay grounded when the tide comes in.
Empowerment in the Shallows: Building physical and emotional confidence in waist-deep water.
Small Group or 1-on-1: A private sanctuary to face your fears alongside a professional who understands.
Mind-Body Connection: Using the water’s natural resistance and flow to soothe the nervous system.

Where We Work
Meeting you where you are—from the living room to the shoreline.

(Home, School & Play)
For Children & Families
Real progress happens in real life. We provide pediatric OT support in the environments where your child spends their day. By working in homes, schools, and local parks, we help bridge the gap between "learning a skill" and "living it."
Focus: Sensory regulation in the classroom, morning routines at home, and social play in the community.Therapeutic Intensives
Custom Frequencies for Accelerated Growth
Sometimes, a weekly hour isn't enough to reach a big milestone. We offer Therapeutic Intensives tailored to your needs. These deep-dive sessions can look like several hours a day for 1–2 weeks, allowing for rapid skill building and nervous system integration.
Focus: School break "boosts," focused phobia work, or intensive milestone training designed for those looking for a 'boost' in progress. These involve several hours of focused therapy per day for 1–2 weeks—perfect for school breaks, vacations, or targeting a specific goal.(The Deep Dive)
The ocean is our most powerful therapeutic tool. For adults overcoming water anxiety or children seeking sensory input, our Sea Therapy sessions take place at local beaches. We use the natural flow of the tide to build nervous system regulation and physical confidence.
Focus: Overcoming thalassophobia, aquatic motor skills, and somatic grounding.

Who We Are
Connecting the Land & Sea
I’m Cheryl Voyles, and I believe everyone deserves to feel at home in their own body—and in the world around them.
As an Occupational Therapist, I’ve spent my career helping people navigate the "rough waters" of daily life. Whether it’s a child struggling to process the world around them or a person feeling paralyzed by a fear of the ocean, my goal is the same: to provide the tools, the safety, and the steady hand needed to move forward.
Why Pediatrics? Children see the world as a giant laboratory of movement and sensation. I love helping them decode that world, turning frustration into "I did it!" moments. My approach is rooted in play, because that’s where the most profound growth happens.
Why Sea Therapy? The ocean is a place of incredible healing, but for many people, it represents a place of fear. I created my Sea Therapy program to bridge that gap. By combining clinical OT principles with a gentle, somatic approach to water exposure, I help people reclaim their confidence and find peace in the shallows.
Testimonials
““We started working with Cheryl when my daughter was four years with occupational therapy. We always say she was our heaven sent Angel. She has helped our daughter tremendously grow and be able to learn tools to manage her sensory needs. She became part of our family as we worked with her in office and home visits. I could call her at any point and ask questions and she always would reassure me with ease. Once my daughter turned six she was very interested in the ocean. The water was always very regulating for her nervous system. Cheryl began to help our daughter become comfortable in the wild untamable ocean. Little did we know this would become her favorite thing she looked forward to every week. She couldn’t wait to see Cheryl and get out on the surfboards in the water. Cheryl is so natural in the water and has a way of making everyone feel so calm. Never once was my daughter scared. Cheryl is so knowledgeable with anything that has to do with the ocean. If it was playing in the waves or surfing she has a smile on her face. I can’t think of anyone else who has had this calming and nurturing effect on our daughter who know is almost 10. You will not be disappointed with her knowledge of occupational therapy and ocean life”.

“Classes with Cheryl were exactly what I needed. She carefully and caringly worked through my fears, gave me confidence and gave me the opportunity to really enjoy surfing! It’s hard to find words how grateful I am for her work she’s done with me. Just big “Thank you” from my heart!
